IN OTHER WORDS

The diminutive Bernardo Miranda put together an impressive season on the 2006 ASP World Qualifying Series (WQS). Narrowly losing out to fellow ¡¦07 Dream Tour rookie Royden Bryson, Miranda finished a season high runner up at the WQS six star Yumeya Tahara Pro presented by Billabong (tying his runner up finish at the O¡¦Neill Highland Open in Scotland). The speedy natural footer¡¦s slight frame is completely devastating in beachbreaks and he¡¦ll be a force to be reckoned with in France, Brazil and at the season opener Quiksilver Pro on the Gold Coast of Australia. The 22 year old Brazilian may take some time to adjust to the elite level of competition of the Foster¡¦s ASP World Tour, but what he lacks in experience, he more than makes up for in spontaneity and innovation.
